Why The Hindus Revere The Cow and Try to Ban Cow Slaughter And Beef in India

With Swami Vivekananda saying ancient Hindus ate beef, Hindus relishing it's taste today - even owning slaughterhouses - rest seeing it as freedom of eating culinary delicacy and the cow seen as just a four legged animal that gives milk and leather, and even causing a nuisance when old, there seems to be no reason why the dumb animal should be regarded as a mother - let alone worship it or make laws against killing it/eating its flesh in a secular India.

Even if the view of the 'rest' is left alone, a cursory look by anybody, at the reasoning given, would make him/her concur with the idea.

Indian Elections 2019: Modi, Rahul Gandhi and the Stockholm Syndrome

Indian national elections have always excited Indians. Because of the visits that Modi did to the different countries in the world and the changes that he brought about in India,  this election is exciting to the international community too. With the opposition parties not quite forming a coalition but accusing one another instead,  this election has no unified challenging candidate against PM Modi.  However, it is these opposition voices that do not let the excitement diminish. With the congress being the only national party and the rest reaching their regional audiences alone, the focus is naturally on the Congress Party and its dynastic leader Mr Rahul Gandhi.

India's Ex-president Mr Mukharjee's Speech At The RSS Headquarters: The Right, The Secular And The Victory

Ex President of India Mr Mukharjee

Both the invite and the speech of India's ex-president Mr Bhattacharya at the RSS headquarters have sent the country on fire. Almost reminding theists and atheist claiming God’s and nature's miracle respectively to the mesmerising nature scenes in the TV, both the right and the rest (secular/liberal) claim that India’s ex-president’s speech was on their side. Strangely, however, both converged on the ‘Indian ethos'.

Why The Supreme Court of India is Wrong on The Karnataka Issue

The Supreme Court of India is heavily involved in the making of the CM of the state of Karnataka in India. It called a special session of its bench in the middle of the night; and instead of saying so long as the law is not violated, it is not under the court's jurisdiction, it allowed Mr Yadurappa to take oath the next morning and asked him to prove his strength on the floor of the house in 24 hours. In doing so, it has, unfortunately not set a good precedence.

Battle Between The Congress And The BJP in The Indian Supreme Court About Karnataka CM Swearing in

Addendum: (The Indian Supreme Court is wrong to ask for the list from the BJP. If there was one governor for all the states the SC could have been right but the very fact that there is a governor in each state means that the issues related to each state is different. A governor knows about those issues of the state, of which he is the governor.

Impeachment Attempt on The Chief Justice; Has The Congress Party Diminished The Prestige of India?

Four senior judges against one
Indian opposition parties have almost come together to impeach the Chief Justice of their country. Before that the learned senior judges of the Indian Supreme Court had come out to the public opposing the allocation of judges by their Chief Justice, Mr Misra.

Both the incidents have not only hurt the international reputation of India, they have hurt the prestige of the institution, which has the last word in conviction of the guilty and whose members are spoken of as honourable judges.

Indian Prime Minister Modi's Demonetisation: Is it Good or Bad For India And The Global Village?

When the world was busy with the American presidential election results on 8th Nov 2016, Indian media suddenly interrupted their programmes to show PM Modi; who using his executive authority declared a ban on the Rs500 and Rs1000 bank notes from that midnight. As if it was a nostalgic stimulus from its first PM Nehru's 'When the world sleeps India wakes up at the midnight hour', it almost kept Indians awake with uncertainty. With the black money holders not having a chance to cash in that night, society facing endless serpentine lines the next day, money not reaching the villages after that, cash not being available for marriage, buying of seeds and giving away daily wages even after that and making a feast out of all that opposition ganging up against the government India was shaken to the core. It seemed, the only ones, who made money were the economists and the media, who organised endless debates.

Why The US Will Not Stop Aiding Pakistan Even After Donald Trump’s Victory in 2016 Elections

Ever since the vivisection of India the two neighbours, India and Pakistan, have met each other in the battlefield more than twice. Unlike those 'quick triggering' ones, but more like the major explosion of the Atom Bomb itself, a 4th war brings about an explosion of fear of the holocaust - as never before. It is amazing that when countries' arms are twisted, the mighty destructive power of the Atom Bomb that has enticed global protests since Hiroshima, also brings about an equally powerful feather of peace.
