Is This The End of The Congress Party/Gandhi Family And Will India Become a One Party State?

Indian Election Results And The Post Election Fever

Disaster struck again on the Gandhi family and the Congress party of India, when the election 2014 verdict mercilessly went to the BJP.
After the results came out, as if compelled to follow suit, the usually recluse Gandhi family came out too. With a glee reporters expected to feast on the press conference. However, in the short and sweet expose, the Gandhis just repeated 'I am responsible'. But then, not all were happy. While the reporters fumed at the lack of a juicy press conference, BJP fumed at the lack of mention of their beloved savoir, Mr Modi by name. Not making a head or tail out of the junior Gandhi's smile on the sad occasion, body language expert saw an enigma akin to that of the Mona Lisa. Although not quite planned, at least for publicity, all three 'acts' were the talk of the town.

Why do Indians Resent The Coverage of Modi by The Western Media Houses Like CNN, The Economist, BBC et al?

The Free Speech And The Anger
With the Internet, and therefore freedom of speech not quite well developed or developed in the controlled print alone, Indian English media feasted on stories criticising Modi for more than 10 years. Although as an episode, 2002 Gujarat riots dint go unnoticed in the West during the cyberspace's infancy, coinciding with it becoming an adult and as surprising as a socialist bud blossoming in the capitalist space, the feast metamorphosed into a 'starter' in the West when Modi started his ascent for the PMs office.

A Modi victory would bode ill for India, say Rushdie, Kapoor, Khan, Bhabha et al. in The Guardian - A Rebuttal

The One Factor: Fear of Mr Modi

The 0, invented in India, has changed the world, but almost parallel to 1 God influencing mankind media, of late, seems to be abuzz with India invoked number 1. This is because the talk is about one person Modi, one incident Gujarat riots 2002, one accusation of him not controlling the riots, one election of him getting chance to rule India and one fear of a divided India under his rule.
Seeing leftist Indian media 'making a living' out of misreporting and creating stories against Modi although right wingers reserved the hash tag #paidmedia for it, forced possibly more by the rise and rise of Modi it has toned down its rhetoric. Almost as a foreign aid or admonition or an answer to a call like 'workers of the world unite' western media including The Economist, Guardian and even the BBC have come up with the single chorus 'Say not to Modi' to amplify the one. Although by no means of media but by all means people successful in their own fields, a group ‘led’ by ones with blood from the East e.g. Salman Rushdie, Homi Bhabha, A Kapoor etc. by publishing a letter against Modi in The Guardian even added spice to the ‘one’.
